The Director and I have spent a lot of quality time in the past month transcribing "The Bumbling Villain Vs. The Defective Detective" and "Proper Stella and the Irish Wolfhound" for the upcoming Listening Party. Well, actually, The Director did much more work than I did since he's the Sibelius and transcribing master. I was there more to answer questions like "you did know that a d natural sounds really awful when played on top of a D flat, RIGHT?"
Thankfully, The Director has the patience of a Director and he was more than able to wade through the songs and arrange them for Rullian. I'm really excited about performing these pieces live since they weren't written to be performed. How cool it is to be surrounded by musicians who don't mind playing more symphonic music.
